We Found Stuffed Bagels in The Catskills

I am not sure how I first heard about Moonrise Bagels in Woodstock NY. I was probably doing my regular sweep of looking for places my boyfriend and I would enjoy to eat at upstate. I’ve had this place on my radar for a little bit. And so one weekend driving home we decided, what the heck, let’s go and try these stuffed bagels. Moonrise Bagels is super small and only has seats for about 3 people inside and a table for 2 outside.

📍 Address: 68 Tinker St, Woodstock, NY

Reuben Stuffed Bagel

The reuben was stuffed with pastrami, sauerkraut & swiss cheese. I felt it was dry and I was glad the man working suggested we get their sauce which was tangy almost horseradishy and not something I would usually gravitate towards but it paired well with the reuben bagel.

Overall, I would say the concept of this was better than the product itself. I liked these, but I wouldn’t come running back here. The sauce you can purchase on the side is more of a necessity, because these were a tad dry like I said.

This is more of a one-and-done spot. I am glad I tried it. But I would say the taste of these are pretty average. Bonus points that they offer vegan sausage egg +cheese stuffed bagel and other non-vegan stuffed bagel flavors like buffalo chicken + eggplant parm.
