Asbury Park has become one of my favorite Jersey Shore towns because you can spend an entire day here without ever feeling bored. Whether you’re planning a beach day or looking for a food spot to explore, here’s 3 stops I would definitely include on my trip.
Start with Coffee / Matcha at Offshore Coffee Co.

My first stop was Offshore Coffee Co. If you know me, you know I can’t start a beach day without a coffee.
Offshore Coffee Co. took over the spot of AP Roastery inside the Convention Center. Myself along with many others were worried if it would be as good as the spot we knew and loved for many years. Lo and behold it’s just as good!
I ordered their Orange Creamsicle Matcha, but you can’t go wrong with their special lattes either!

Their drinks are creative without feeling over the top, and it’s the perfect place to grab something after setting up on the beach.
Beach Time
Everything is within walking distance, and I love to get my steps! After a brief boardwalk walk with my matcha in hand, it’s time for some sun and swim!
After spending some time relaxing in the sand and going for a swim, it’s time for lunch.
Lunch at Zappa Food Truck
We walked over to Zappa Food Truck. I had been eyeing them on social media for a while and decided to make the walk over to the food trucks, which I never had before.

If you’ve never had a zapiekanka before, you must give it a try.
It’s a toasted open-faced baguette that’s loaded with sautéed mushrooms, cheese and topped with ketchup. It’s completely different from anything else you’ll find on the boardwalk!

I tried one of their signature zapiekankas which has mushroom, mozzarella, ketchup, garlic sauce and scallion. But they also have fun options like their Mexican Street Corn Zappa.
For $17 it fed two of us and we loved every mushroomy, cheesy bite.
They also serve Polish favorites like pierogi and borscht and sodas from Poland, so there’s plenty to choose from if you’re with a group!
End the Day with Ice Cream at Coney Waffle
No beach day is complete without ice cream, so my last stop was Coney Waffle.

They have so many fun flavors to choose from, but what really caught my eye were the giant ice cream floats I had seen my friend Taylor try.
They were only $8 each, and they’re the kind of treat that’s perfect after spending the afternoon in the sun.
A huge cup with a whole Stewart’s soda in flavor of your choice: I saw Orange, Black Cherry, Birch Beer and Key Lime to name a few. Topped with a generous serving of ice cream.

Right: Black Cherry Soda with Chocolate Soft Serve
We got the soft serve, but you could also pick from any one of their 30+ flavors of soft ice cream.
Final Thoughts
If you’re heading to Asbury Park this summer, these stops make for such a fun and easy day. Good coffee, a few hours at the beach, a lunch that’s a little different from the usual boardwalk food, and ice cream to finish it off!
That’s a pretty perfect Jersey Shore day if you ask me.
Happy reading + eating!
